Studio Moore uniquely works within two creative disciplines of Interior Architecture and photographic Styling.
The design studio was established in 2008 by Andrea Moore after having worked with some of the most highly regarded architecture practices in Australia. The studio considers interior design holistically with architectural form – creating intelligent spatial design solutions that enhance the everyday experience of the inhabitant. Interior architecture and spatial design services offered are specifically tailored to each project brief.
Andrea’s trained eye in architecture + design, and her understanding of how we ‘move through space’ help create spaces and images that reflect this experience. A strong design aesthetic is carried across all facets of the studios work.
Studio Moore also offers full creative direction, sourcing and styling for photographic editorial and advertising campaigns, composing beautiful imagery for print media. Studio Moore is happy to work in collaboration, and is based at Rokeby Studios.
The design process involves developing the initial design concepts and refining these ideas through to the completed built form. This design process is broken down into the following stages:
Client requirements are defined and discussed to develop a brief. Exploration of the design concept begins through spatial design + programme, illustrated through mood boards and sketch plans for client discussion.
The chosen direction is explored in more detail, progressing into illustrative computer drawn plans, elevations and sections. Materials, finishes & fittings are considered. Hand 3-d sketches and physical models are used to communicate the design intention.
The design is developed into detailed documentation drawings. Selections of all fittings, finishes + lighting are finalised in schedules and interior construction/ joinery documents are prepared for construction.
Building works are inspected during construction to ensure the design is realised.
Adds the final layers, completing the interior.
Working with a floor plan, this stage includes the selection and placement of loose furniture pieces, maximising the functionality and informing the overall look + feel of the space.
Adds the final layer of softness + personality, completing the interior. This includes the selection of items such as artwork, cushions and objects.
Design concepts communicated through sketches, mood boards + references.
Development of schematic design concepts through to detailed documentation for trades.
Props sourced specifically to a brief + budget. Including photoshoot logistics and co-ordination.
Interior + Product styling on location or in the Studio.
